Scientific and practical conference "Biotechnologies on Guard of Human and Animal Health"
Overall about 80 people took part in the conference, including representatives of research institutes, bio-factories, Moscow Veterinary Academy and ROSAGROBIOPROM. Nikolai Fedorov, Russian Minister of Agriculture was introduced to operations of Shchelkovo Biocombinat and its modern technologies for production of veterinary products.
Grigory Bacherikov, Head of Shchelkovo Biocombinat, told the Minister about implementation of the quality management system and collaboration with leading Russian and international research institutes.
The Minister emphasized that implementation of the GMP standards at each stage of production cycle guarantees high quality of the products. “This is one if the key reasons why your products are successfully sold both in Russia and overseas”, said Mr. Fedorov. He also expressed confidence that high level production standards, modern technical equipment, professional qualification of the employees as well as considerable expertise in developing and implementing high-tech products allow Shchelkovo Biocombinat to significantly increase production volumes of modern veterinary products, in particular, with the view of import substitution. During the conference the Minister of Agriculture saw a presentation of the Shchelkovo Agro Industrial Park, a processing, storage and wholesale center for food products with limited shelf life. In an interview to the media Mr. Fedorov said that he is going to support this new project.
During the Conference Mr. Fedorov also met with students of Chuvash State Agricultural Academy that were doing an internship under the agreement between Shchelkovo Biocombinat and the Academy. The agreement to provide internship at Shchelkovo Biocombinat, one of the largest national enterprises producing immunobiological drugs for animals, was reached at the end of November, 2013 at a meeting between Mr. Fyodorov and the academy administration of the Chuvash State Agricultural Academy.
Russian Minister of Agriculture congratulated the Shchelkovo Biocombinat staff with the factory’s 90-th anniversary and presented an award - Diploma of Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. A number of the factory employees were also commended for their hard work and commitment to the agro industrial sector.
