World Rabies Day – September 28: together against Rabies!
World Rabies Day is celebrated annually to raise awareness about rabies prevention and to highlight progress in defeating this horrifying disease. 28 September also marks the anniversary of Louis Pasteur's death, the French chemist and microbiologist, who developed the first rabies vaccine. World Rabies Day is the first and only global day of action and awareness for rabies prevention.

Rabies is a fatal disease caused by an infection with the rabies virus, usually through a bite from an animal infected with rabies. Rabies is 100% fatal and also 100% preventable both in human and animal populations. However, it is a disease that is entirely preventable through vaccination of people and animals.

Today, safe and efficacious animal and human vaccines are among the important tools that exist to eliminate human deaths from rabies while awareness is the key driver for success of communities to engage in effective rabies prevention.

Shchelkovo Biocombinat has a wide range of rabies vaccines for animals.

Rabies vaccine (Rabikan) for dogs and cats will protect your pets.
